It has been discussed before, but never goes anywhere. Some translators don't care if others translate the same thing that they do, they just translate what they like; some have the mindset that they are better than the other translators, and want to prove it; some just want to be "First!" regardless of the quality of their work, etc, etc. All in all, putting up with the occasional double translation is just par for the course. I'd rather have lots of translators that occasionally overlap than translators who sit around doing nothing while waiting to see if anyone else picks up a particular story.

Yeah, I saw that one earlier on e-h, but we translated it somewhere at the end of January and it was in buffer since then.
Daaaaamn, another double translation… (ackee from pineapples pulled it last week)
Someone should make a list of All Things ™ available to all translators, and anyone who takes a project up could notch it so other people know… :/
Especially since the awesome stuff like this catches the eye of many people.
If only every magical girl would be futanari, the anime-hentai world would be a much more peaceful (and sticky) place…
