Wasn't it Yako who got her first period in chapter 40 something? It was because Yako got her first period that Nayu did… something or another… that was really too confusing for me to figure out without knowledge of Japanese. For all I could understand, Nayu got some heavy PMSs and got all emo just before the manga ended (I'm assuming due to her first period. She only got 'saved' by her gramdma's underwear belief or something like that.).

Not many follows the manga version anymore (except for me that is still waiting for the final volume 7 to be released in my country). Right now I already have up to Volume 6 (Step 41) of the manga and it has already shown more insights on the individual characters' lives. The version I have is the Chinese (Traditional) version translated by Tong Li Comics (Taiwan).

Nayu's grandmother, the one who inspired her ambition to be a lingerie designer, passes away in this volume.

The 'stripping' incident at the end of Volume 5 sparked a controversy within her school and her Underwear Club faces disbandment in that part of the story.

This volume also has focuses on a possible shipping of Amane Haraguchi (the crossdressing shota) and Kiyono (the rich ojousama). After Kiyono's mom was chosen ahead of her, she ran away from home and ends up in Amane's house. They talk about what they actually want in their lives. However, that can only be resolved in Volume 7). Note that Amane is not featured in the anime version of this manga series, nor are the other two members of the Comic Research Club that helped the Underwear Club in the school festival.

Second thing it focuses on is the attempt to save the Underwear Club by promoting it as a club to reflect the style and benefits of wearing underwear that fits the wearer's body type, shape and style. This was resolved with the help of Kiyono's mum who organized a fashion show featuring the girls of the Underwear Club in the underwear chosen by the rich lady that can fit their body shape. It is revealed that Kiyono's mun holds Nayu's grandmother (who is a lingerie designer) in high regard in the field of fashion design and supports Nayu's attempts to continue on her legacy.

Another thing it focuses is on the onset of Nayu's first menstrual period. Girls who've gone through this remember how theirs was like, and her brother Keigo and her teacher Mizuno-sensei is trying to help Nayu go through this as well. You guys knew very well that Mizuno-sensei still holds a torch for Keigo even after they have graduated from University years ago (Keigo was Mizuno-sensei's upperclassman back in University).

Oh, I'm well aware of that.

But as you can see TheBest_F-22 , there are also not much of an audience for this kind of manga. Just take a look at the numbers on <a href="http://www.fakku.net/manga.php?search=chu+bra&quot; rel="nofollow">Fakku and you can see the decline in the numbers. How do I say this – it's not adult enough to be considered Hentai, comparatively far from borderline if you compare it to Kanojo or Kodomo, yet shunned by society for featuring underage girls wearing nothing but underwear.

It's completely unfair, since, if you compare it to Kodomo (since I really don't have anything else to compare it to), these two series are fairly similar. Granted, KnJ is far more controversial in terms of material (take your pick: child/adult love [in both ways], underage masturbation, full underage nudity…), yet because of them, the crowd that would enjoy KnJ is very clearly defined (aka Lolis get their fulfillment even though there's no actual sex).

Chu-Bra is far more niché than KnJ – there's clearly very little material in these chapters that would attract anyone from the Hentai crowd, and there's not enough nudity/sexual material for the Loli crowd. If I didn't know better, I'd almost say that the mangaka was making Chu-Bra so that it wouldn't attract these crowds. Yet it has too much nudity for the general public (since it features underage girls wearing underwear). What ends up are the ecchi crowd that actually wants a decent storyline over fan service (seriously – go over all the chapters, and you'll notice there isn't as many as most other ecchi manga)… and god knows how few of these people actually exist.

I might be entirely wrong though, and who knows, there might be a bigger fan-base for Chu-Bra than I realize. I would be very, very happy if that was the case. That said, I doubt anyone will come into here and actually sponsor a chapter for multitude of reasons, but oh well. Chu-Bra has kind of become my little pet project for me. I'm in it till the end.

As for your question, the main reason why very few online readers want to approach Chu-bra is not because of the material – it's because of the huge controversy that happened when Crunchyroll broadcasted Chu-bra anime.

Keeping things within one paragraph, Google Ads commercialized the anime in a badly-worded way (which, of course, goes all over the internet), and the internet public took things into completely the wrong direction. Everyone shammed Chu-bra to be inappropriate for public viewing due of underage 'indecency' (aka child porn) and it features underage girls in underwear.

This is probably why US cartoons never have girls who wear swimsuits. Too similar to child porn for them.

Mangahere does leech off Chu-bra, if you want to read this online, and Biribiri does upload this on Ehentai (online, check links on the right). Batoto does host Kanojo no Kagi wo Akeru Houhou, which is arguably far more borderline than Chu-bra, so if anyone feels like trying to upload it onto Batoto, go ahead. Just don't be angry when they decide to take it down (like they did for Ichinensei ni Nacchattara) because it's deemed Loli.

And if not, why?

(since I've been reading a whole good lot on favour of Batoto since they "Help" Scanlators to an extent or something…)
