Yea, I read those chapters. I wouldn't say the stories are sad. More like just bittersweet. His art style is ok, but it's not exactly my cup of tea.

I'm feeling better about the whole thing. After burning off most of my aggression earlier. I really loved the anime, but last two episode left me feeling screwed (just like Cal lol). Anyway I hope after watching the anime Haibane Renmei, I'll feel alot better. The anime seems pretty deep. Basically about a gods, reborn as an angels (to find happiness). On the whole donar project issue I decided to go with EB110SS’ ESP Ecchi Shoujo Pantsu. Can't recall seeing any of his work translated. I'll fund [Yamato Akira] Simulacre no Alice after I finish funding ESP Ecchi Shoujo Pantsu.

Basically the short manga is but a taste of saddest endings the artist is great for setting up.
If my ￥2 is worth anything I would say EBS110SS. I love that guy's older stuff there havent been any translations of his stuff as far as I know. Even Yamato Akira has a couple.
As a last thought on Phantom, it would be interesting if the 18+ version, Phantom Integration, got translated, though to be honest I dunno how I would feel. Looking through the CG set, there are a lot of scenes of Claudia being banged by that yakuza guy lol, but I dunno if I want to see my pure Cal get banged. Oh, and apparently there's an extra Drei bad end in it, just for you Fatjoe lol.

I took a look at Simulacre no Alice, and if that is what Fatjoe is talking about, no offense, but I will probably skip it. It just doesn't appeal to me.

After checking out the raw that was linked I'd say go for it. It's certainly not… conventional, but it looks interesting to say the least. There were only a couple parts that were 'iffy' for me personally, but overall I'll give it a thumbs' up.
What Fatjoe has linked was my first guess, but I share the same sentiments as ThorW. If I'm wrong, I don't care cuz I know it'll be good. In any case, I'm curious about this H-Manga Fatjoe speaks of. What's the title and author of the H-Manga? I tend to look forward to depressing stuff since it's sometimes a little deeper than your average H-Manga.

That sounds interesting, usually when an ero manga depresses me, it's because it's rape or something of that nature. But are you saying this is more like a tragic love story? If so it might be worth a bad feeling the pit of your stomach.

If you are that a good choice. I'm about to start a new donar project too, but I'm conflicted about having it translated. Most of the senarios in the manga are pretty depressing, but at the same time it shows a side of love that rarely seen in ero mangas.

Your doing me a big favor talking about it. Been feeling pissed about it all day, and talking about it with someone (who also likes anime) helps greatly. I really suggest that you watch the anime. The soundtrack, animation, and pacing of the story is solid. Though the ending is HORRIBLE I still would reccomend the anime to other people. Well my advice is still to play the VN. One of these days I need to get around to rereading it and getting all the endings. It's a really excellent read.

If the anime followed the Ein path like you suggested Cal death would make sense. However in most of the anime I watch (the depressing kind) the male character would always sacrifice his life to insure the happniess of thoughs they love (females also do this). They wouldn't willingly kill someone like Cal (girl whos simply misguided) to free them from a life that they themselves want to escape from.
I watched alot of depressing anime over the years, but this series had the great potential to be one of the greatest (better than Saikano, Elfen Lied, and Gunslinger Girls). They drop the ball in the end and just leave ya unsatified. Wondering why I'm so serious about this? The anime spent many episodes building up Reiji relationships (and dependance) on both Elena and Cal. End those relationships were not only ignored, but left you wondering if the creaters were just fucking with the viewers lol
It's been a while since I played and I didn't actually watch the anime, but I heard about the ending and said fuck that.
As an aside, if we're talking about things that piss me off, the anime's "twist" ending ranks pretty high. Way to dash the one ray of hope in an otherwise bleak story, Beetrain.

I was partial to Ein, and I did love Cal, but Drei, not as much. I felt bad for her but then again you can always just play her path and get a happy end lol. And I suggest you go ahead and buy it, I bought it for $4 shipped like 3 years ago at Amazon, it might be even cheaper now. The game doesn't play right on PC, despite what DVD software you use, because the password system used for saving doesn't work. Although you could probably just burn it, *shrug* I think it's worth shelling out the couple dollars for.

Glad you released this today Biri. Just finished Phantom: Requiem of the Phantom today, and it serously bumed me out. I loved the show but the last two episodes made me rage hard. Poor Cal T_T

Yup, this oneshot was certainly awesome. Also, you forgot that she's a tanned loli Tsundere sister. The maid outfits they put one were great. My only regret about this oneshot was that the Glasses girl didn't get any action. Thanks a lot, Biribiri and Fatjoe.
Hmm….New project in place of Girls Shower. Since it's Zathael who made the choice, I have high hopes for this project.
