New mirrors.
As you know, I’m looking into alternatives for our mirrors lately. Since I have few conditions that need to be met, there’s less options for me. Of course we could possibly use any of still up servers or even completely different ways of sharing (xdcc or torrent), but that’s now what I’m looking for right now. I’ve narrowed down possible hosts to few I found with remote upload (I don’t need ones without that option now). I’d be happy if you let me know if you had any experience with following hosts (or maybe you know some other, too?). I did some research and tried to rule out hosts that are blocking US IPs too.
- filefactory
- netload
- easybytez
- bulletupload
turbobit
I want to make my decision in a matter of one, max two days, so I ask for your input too!
EDIT: I’m going to pick one or most probably two mirrors and DF will be still active – I want to cover as most suitable range of choices for as many of you as possible. I’m looking into additional bonus routes as well, btw.
Seems like everyone moved to depositfile (German)and Hotfile .
Hi for my site i'm test the hoster rapidgator. But they are really new
@Flandre
oh there's another filesharing site called "ifile" u can try it if u want
for me only mediafire works well NOW, used to have megaupload and filesonic but now we can't have them
At the moment I'm considering YunFile, FileFactory and going back to HotFile. We're not going to drop DepositFiles, but I think I will have to keep in mind that it's gonna get even less profitable – the good thing about DF is that I have gold status and deleting files is almost non-existent for me, I also receive gold codes I can do what I want with.
My experience so far with Turbobit was that I couldn't download because my IP RANGE had exceeded it's capacity.
This is, of course, on my first visit to the site.
So, if it's not too much trouble, please, please, please please PLEASE don't use turbobit.
@Jack Atlas, Somaru
I wrote that I'm looking for a server that has remote uploads at the moment, I don't need others for the time being. I'm not gonna pay extra to mediafire to have that option.
Right now, the primary ones that are being used on Pant.su are Hotfile, UT (not sure what it is) and Turbobit. Hotfile seems decent enough, but my biggest preference is Mediafire, if anything it's never let me down in the US. There are no wait times, you can have as many going as you want (for FREE!) and you can pause downloads (for FREE!!!). I'm not sure as to the uploader what is needed, but I'm just throwing it out there.
@Jack Atlas
They are next on the list in 90 days and will testify in court like the rest of the bigwig file hosts…
BulletUpload is sh*t, since it will sometimes give you an error that you are already getting a file and will have to wait 600 bloody seconds…
Turbobit worked fine for me in Oliver's site…But in the end, maybe you can take something like what he will get and have a small server for your doujin translated releases just like certain translators…
Either way, expect most (if not all) the file host big wigs to go down in a month or so from this bloody crusade by greed…
Have you though about mediafire? I mean its a great file sharing site no download limits and muti downloads. also hotfile is still up and extabit is one I recently used to download (C81) [Kaniya_ (Kanyapyi)] _Kobato-chan_Buhihi_ (Boku_wa_Tomodachi_ga_Sukunai [Digital)
UploadStation seems to be working for me again. Not sure about paying for U.S. downloaders though.
@MahoroAndou Yea I got that too. I for one like using jDownloader when I don't have the patience to stare at a screen for 30-60 sec. Turbobit blocks it completely (though I know there'll be a work around eventually).
About Americans, Biri, I'm not sure if you saw I made a poll on Hentairules to ask if turbobit and letitbit were working for them, and the reply was mostly "no".
And Depositfiles stopped today to pay for USA downloads.
You know what ? I'm searching the way to create my own zip hosting website, for my uploads, maybe there will be premium conversions.
@Tenrag
Will think about that first one, too.
@Sudz
Fileserve is down, just as US and FSo.
@MahoroAndou
Oh yeah, I forgot I download few things, so this don't bother me. It's good you covered those points about turbobit.
My main worry about Fileserve (which I generally don't mind) is that it is US based, and it is fairly well known in the downloading scene. IMO, the bigger these lockers are, the more likely that the feds will (eventually) act on it and close it down.
Might be completely wrong though – who knows with stuff like this…
Netload quite goot place to download from.
If it come's to filefactory I can deliberatly say that most of
the files I wanted to get from there was removed, but it
could be just my bad luck.
Turbobit…. Please use it as your last choise they limit downloading not only from IP but also from region, so even waiting that 5 minutes does not guarantee that you will be able to download file, you may be asked to wait another 5 minutes….really frustrating.
I recommend trying chinese sites as well:
yunfile.com : Tey have english language, remote upload and you can earn something for downloads.
115.com : The seems not to have english language and remote upload but they have multiple file downloading with moderate dowlnoad speed for free.
I'm the opposite, turbobit is god awful, any of those filehosts that has a limit on the number of IPs that can connect at any one time is retarded. its bad enough they all have absurd wait times and recapchas, but then some throw in that "no more connections from your country/ip".
Better the devil you know, so I'm saying filefactory or netload
I like turbobit. It may be a little slow at determined hours, but most of the time, it's fine here. I've had previous experiences with filefactory too, but I can't remember clearly the details. All I can say is that it's acceptable. For the others, never heard of any.
